To prepare the site, the trees and shrubs that were in the way first had to be knocked down and hauled off. Next "road base" fill material was trucked in to build a stable pad for the house. The land had to be built up four feet in one corner in order to achieve level.
The vegetation was cleared
Then a pad of road base was prepared.
