While we would have preferred triple pane, wood windows, the cost would have put
us over budget. We settled for double paned, low E glass in aluminum
frames.
Plumbing
Aluminum clad PEX was used throughout the house for the water supply lines.
Shower and tub water lines are copper.
Electrical
One thing we didn't skimp on was electrical circuits. We put 2 outlets on
each wall in the garage as well as a 50 amp circuit for a welder. We even
have a 50 amp circuit on the outside wall for a future hot tub.
Stone Work
Stone work was done by Pablo who also did the slab. He is from Menard.
We chose a white stone from Jim Cherry
Stone Inc. It took less than a week to stone the entire house.
